Michael Williams, MD joined the endocrinology department at The Polyclinic Madison Center in May. He joins us from Virginia Mason Medical Center, where he has practiced since 2008. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (206) 860-4503. Dr. Williams is a graduate of the University of North Carolina—Chapel Hill Medical School. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center and completed a clinical and research fellowship in endocrinology, also at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Williams has a special interest in diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, thyroid cancer, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disease. “I strive to empower my patients to be active participants in their health care,” said Dr. Williams. “By thoroughly explaining medical problems and treatment options, my goal is to educate and engage each individual in the decision-making process.”

Originally from Hertford, North Carolina, he enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking. In the winter he enjoys downhill and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
