Astrid Pujari, MD, is a board certified internist and credentialed medical herbalist who practices the integration of Western and holistic medicine at the Pujari Center. She has led numerous retreats and workshops on mind-body medicine, has been a mind-body consultant for Q13 Fox News, wrote a health column for the Seattle Times, and is a published author. Time: 5:30 - 7:30 pm
Location: The Polyclinic 1001 Broadway, corner of Harvard and Spring St.

The workshop is appropriate for anyone who wants to reduce the level of stress in their life or feels that stress may be impacting their health or sense of well-being. Stress can impact many dimensions of health, including pain such as with fibromyalgia, muscle tension, blood pressure, heart health, sleep, anxiety and depression.

Participants in this class will learn:

  • Breathing techniques to help reduce stress
  • Visualization tools to help fell more empowered and focused during the day
  • Development of a healthier relationship with the body
  • Meditation skills along with various types of meditation
  • Techniques to develop a daily, consistent practice to help you continue to grow after the workshop has been completed
