Education:
Dr. Medwell completed his General Surgery Residency and was a Clinical Surgical Research Fellow, for the American Cancer Society at Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. He completed a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the Ferguson Clinic, Grand Rapids, Mich.
Special Interests:
Dr. Medwell specializes in colon & rectal surgery, the surgical treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, laparoscopic colon & rectal surgery, the surgical treatment for problems of the colon, rectum & anus, and colonoscopy.
Practice Philosophy:
“For almost 30 years, I have had the pleasure and joy of caring for patients with colorectal problems. I pride myself in the close personal relationships I have developed with my patients. From the youngest patient facing serious, potentially life-changing surgery for colitis, to the elderly cancer patient facing a colostomy, my philosophy is to give technically superior care in a dignified, open and caring manner."
