Education:

Dr. Choy earned her MD/PhD (epidemiology) and completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington. She has her Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University and a master’s degree in public health (epidemiology) from University of California Los Angeles.

Special Interests:

Dr. Choy’s special interests include general ophthalmology, especially cataract and laser surgery, and medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma.

Practice Philosophy:

"I want patients to feel comfortable and secure, so that they can ask any questions they may have. I consider the patient my partner as we determine and implement a treatment plan."

Teaching Involvement:

Dr. Choy has been a University of Washington clinical instructor 1989 -1994 and assistant professor 1994 – 1999, teaching ophthalmology residents, primary care residents and medical students. She continues to serve as a clinical instructor for Swedish Family Practice residents.
