Education:

Dr. Spector earned a medical degree from the University of Michigan, completed both an internship and a residency at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, and a residency as senior supervisor at Duke Hospital, Duke University, Durham, North Carolina. He also completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Texas Cancer System.

Special Interests:

Dr. Spector's practice focuses on preventive health care and therapeutic care for pediatric diseases from birth through late teens.

Practice Philosophy:

"I believe that the physician and the patients are a team, the patients must understand reasons for therapy and diagnosis to approve of treatment. Once a child is a teenager, they can have professional confidentiality so that they can be treated and trusted as the adults they will become."

Teaching Involvement:

Associate clinical professor, University of Washington Department of Pediatrics; staff pediatrician, Children's Hospital.
