 The Polyclinic offers a wide range of health classes and events with a special emphasis on disease management and preventive health. From wellness seminars to health screenings, we take care of you when you're sick and we're here to help you stay healthy.

Support Classes for Patients with Diabetes

The Polyclinic is offering two monthly classes to support patients with diabetes.  Both classes are FREE and are open to individuals with diabetes, their families and friends.  Each class will emphasize the personal approach in managing diabetes, and time will be provided for questions and problem solving strategies.

Insulin Issues Classes

When:  Third Wednesday of each month, 5 – 6 p.m.
Where:  The Polyclinic First Hill, 3rd Floor Conference Room
Topics:  Everything from daily long-acting insulin injections to insulin pumps and sensor use.  Participants will get useful information and improve their skills in the day-to-day management of diabetes, helping them reduce risks and improve outcomes

Advanced Insulin Pump Skills Training Classes

When:  First Wednesday of each month, 5 – 6 p.m.
Where:  Seattle First Baptist Church, 111 Harvard Avenue (across the street from The Polyclinic First Hill)
Topics:  Valuable information for patients who have already had insulin pump starts.  Participants will have opportunities for mentoring, skill improvement, and support for more effecter pump/sensor use.
