Join Team Polyclinic at Race for the CureOn June 21, 2008, The Polyclinic will continue its long tradition of sponsoring the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K run/fitness walk at Qwest Field and Events Center. Last year, Team Polyclinic was the fifth largest team to participate in the race with over 100 members! By signing up now, you can make the team even larger this year in its effort to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease.
This year, Team Polyclinic will participate in honor of two of its own, Brenda Robinson and Colleen Eccles, who both lost the fight with cancer this past year. Custom t-shirts for all team members and volunteers will include their names. Join the fight by registering for the race with Team Polyclinic or by supporting our efforts with a pledge contribution. The money raised will fund vital education, screening and treatment programs for underserved women in our own community and support the national search for a cure.
We need your support — every step counts!
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and an estimated 40,410 women will lose their battle with breast cancer this year in the United States alone. What you may not know is that you can help these women and thousands of others in the fight against breast cancer.

Benefits to the Community
The 2007 Race for the Cure raised a record-setting $1.78 million! Approximately 75% of the net proceeds remain in the Puget Sound area to benefit medically underserved women while the remaining 25% is invested in the Komen Foundation’s National Research Program. |
