Polyclinic Community Health Foundation Raises $10,000 for Patient Care

The first ever Music for Medicine fundraiser for The Polyclinic Community Health Foundation (PCHF) was a resounding success, raising over $10,000 through online and evening auctions.  The event, held on Feb. 7 at Seattle Design Center, was attended by more than 100 people.

This unique arts event featured young musicians from the Seattle Young Arts Music Festival performing on Sherman Clay’s grand pianos. The auctions benefited PCHF, The Polyclinic’s non-profit that provides medications and supplies to people who do not have benefit coverage, are low income, or suffer from a chronic illness.

Marc Cordova, MD, president of PCHF, expressed his appreciation for the hard work put forward by Polyclinic employees, physicians and volunteers who donated time and auction items.
“It was a great social get together for the staff and physicians featuring unique auction items, great food, and inspiring music from young people,” said Dr. Cordova.  “I would like to especially thank the committee that helped to organize the event and procure the auction items.  I hope that the demonstrated enthusiasm for such an event bringing together staff and physicians will create excitement and attract more people to come out next year for what is hoped to be an annual event.”

For every dollar donated to PCHF, $4.50 worth of medicine is purchased for those who cannot afford it.  For more information on the Foundation or to see how you can help, visit the Polyclinic Foundation page.
